ABOUT ME

Ash Malloy is an actor, writer and teaching artist living in New York City with strong roots in the Bay Area.

Prior to attending American Conservatory Theater where she received her MFA in Acting, Ash launched a self produced national tour of My Name is Rachel Corrie, stopping in more than 60 cities nationwide.

At A.C.T., Ash played roles from the deliciously devious Maria in Twelfth Night, to the incandescent dreamer Irina Prozorov in Three Sisters, and deepened her love of solo performance while tackling the role of The Pilot in George Brandt’s Grounded.

The training she received through ACT’S Citizen Artistry program equipped her with an array of practical knowledge in regards to cultural literacy, intersectionality, trauma informed pedagogy, and challenging oppression in the classroom. This education combined with contact hours in the classroom earned her a concentration in Citizen Artistry.

Ash has worked with Custom Made Theater, Playwright’s Foundation, San Francisco Playhouse, Crowded Fire Theater, ACT, Center Repertory Theater, and hopes to work with many more companies in the greater San Francisco area.

She can sing up to a high F, touch her nose with her tongue and identify any dog breed, all while donning only towels and wielding a bottle of DeWar’s. (See right.) She’s a sucker for vintage T’shirts, flea markets, and the coconut rose chai at The Chai Spot wedged between China Town and Little Italy.
